About Maxine
Maxine Allan graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with a Bachelor in Fine Art in 1987.
She exhibited in San Francisco and Los Angeles for 10 years until moving back to Scotland in 1997 where her continued fascination of art and the unconscious earned her a Post Graduate Degree in Art Therapy.
Maxine moved to Brighton in 2003 and founded ARTYFACTS, running inspirational art programs that offer local children the opportunity to explore their individuality and self-expression through art.

Special projects included four major student art exhibitions, the creation of murals in the Children’s ward of the General Hospital and St. George’s University campus, and seminars for police and nurses on the importance of creativity in helping children cope with trauma.
